Euro Recovers as Falling Oil Prices Ease Dollar Pressure

EUR/USD is attempting to stabilize after the Dollar's post-Fed surge, with lower oil prices and shifting rate expectations becoming key drivers for today's FX market.
The Euro is attempting to recover after the US Dollar reached a seven-week high following the Federal Reserve's latest interest-rate decision. EUR/USD is finding support as oil prices extend their decline and traders reassess the outlook for global monetary policy.
The Federal Reserve raised its policy rate by 25 basis points to 3.75%-4.00% and its projections pointed to another possible increase later in 2026. The hawkish shift initially pushed the Dollar higher and sent EUR/USD toward recent lows.
However, falling crude prices have reduced some of the immediate inflation pressure across global markets. A softer energy-price outlook can influence expectations for future interest-rate decisions in both the United States and Europe, creating new volatility for the Euro.
EUR/USD is trading around the 1.1450 area, with traders watching whether buyers can defend this zone. A sustained recovery above 1.1500 would put the recent Dollar-driven decline under pressure, while a break below 1.1400 could keep the pair vulnerable.
The broader FX market is also focused on central-bank divergence. With the Fed maintaining a tightening bias while other major central banks respond to changing inflation and growth risks, rate expectations remain a key driver of currency flows.
MarketMindFX View: EUR/USD is entering a technically important area after the Dollar's sharp move higher. The 1.1450 region is the immediate support area to watch, while 1.1500 and 1.1550 are important recovery levels.
Key Levels:
EUR/USD Resistance: 1.1500, 1.1550
EUR/USD Support: 1.1450, 1.1400
DXY Resistance: 100.50, 101.00
DXY Support: 100.00, 99.50
Traders should monitor US Treasury yields, oil prices, Federal Reserve guidance and incoming European data for confirmation of the next EUR/USD direction.
